Head's Welcome

Broomfield School is a good school and I am proud to be the Interim Head Teacher.

We are a community school with a family atmosphere; as a small school we quickly get to know all our new pupils and help them to settle in.

Our pupils tell us they feel part of our community from their very first day. They feel safe, welcome and at home.

Our ambition for your child is for them to succeed in all aspects of their school life and to be supported in reaching their full potential, to rise to the new challenges ahead, work hard, learn new skills, make many new friends and find new interests.

There are numerous opportunities for your child to develop and excel at Broomfield school.

We have a stable staff with experienced and dedicated teachers and support staff. Our excellent teachers are all committed to ensuring your children develop and excel not just in academic subjects but in all areas of school life.

Pupil behaviour is good at Broomfield and visitors to the school always comment on the calm and purposeful atmosphere in our classrooms and corridors.

We offer a broad and balanced curriculum – pupils have lessons in specialist technology, art, drama, music and science rooms.

We have extensive sporting facilities and outdoor areas and are in the process of having our astro turf upgraded.

With recently refurbished science labs, new computer rooms and light, bright classrooms the school is warm and welcoming.

We believe that our broad and balanced curriculum, our extensive enrichment activities and the opportunities we provide for pupils to take on new responsibilities will help our pupils grow into competent, confident and considerate young men and women, who are equipped for learning and life in the 21st century.

We want our pupils to have high aspirations and to make a positive contribution to the world.
