2020 GCSE Results
Dear Parent/Carer and Pupil,
I hope that you and your families are all keeping well. This letter is to inform you about how you will receive GCSE results this year.
The GCSE results will be emailed out to pupils on Thursday 20th August at 10.00am. The results will come directly to the pupil’s school email-address. This can be accessed as detailed in the image down the page.
To ensure there is no problem in you receiving your results we will be sending out a test email. If you have not received this email by 2pm on 13th August 2020, please contact the school by emailing email@example.com – please note we may not respond until 20th August.
If you have any problems in accessing your results you will be able to phone the school on 020 8368 4710 between 10.00am and 1.00pm on the 20th August. Please DO NOT come to the school as we will be unable to assist you in person.
We will also send your results in the post to the home address that we currently have on SIMS. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have recently moved. Please note we are unable to post results to non UK addresses.
As you are aware the grades this year have been calculated using a range of evidence and data, including mock results, class work and non-exam assessments. The exam boards have then combined this information with other relevant data, including prior attainment, to produce a calculated grade for each pupil. It is important to note that the grades awarded will not just be teacher predicted grades.
In addition to this letter, you are also receiving a message from Ofqual and information from Enfield Careers Service.
If pupils do not feel their calculated grade reflects their performance, they will have the opportunity to sit exams in one or more subject in the autumn term. They also have the opportunity to appeal against the grade they have been awarded. Details of this year’s appeals process are attached below.
The Government also have the following available to support you:

Telephone 0800 100 900
The Exam Results Helpline can provide information on appeals, complaints, or what your next steps may be once you’ve received your results.

Once you have received your results, please do complete the form letting us know of your planned post sixteen destination. The form can be found here: https://forms.gle/yne7xbPvRFE4B2hA9
